As a storyteller storytelling is about opening a transformative space between the teller and the listeners.  An invitation to journey where everyone starts from the only place that they can: where they are, how they are.  At the present moment...in one's own, private life...as a transforming world swirling around and within every individual on our lovely Earth. Stories open and explore directions of what could or might be. From where one is, listeners take what they need or are ready to absorb from a story.  Be that healing, new outlooks or directions, transformation or simply relaxation and a good laugh. 

 

My direct experience as a storyteller has been as an English Language Teacher and performing community member. Indirectly I have found it a most effective tool in my nearly 20-year personal practice of positive speech and self-study in constructive communication practices. Areas of continued exploration and progression are storytelling as therapy and conflict resolution device. In all these areas I am expanding my base, available to offer my services and pursue collaborations. 

 

Most of all is my desire to bring stories into our lives...simply for the sake of the essential human activity that it is. From this journey into story lies infinite possibilities. Surely that is the space where you and I can cross paths.
